CMP Strengthens Ties with Châteauguay Bridge Project

On August 15, 2025, the City of Châteauguay celebrated a milestone in the ongoing development of the Hydro-Québec Linear Corridor with the official opening of The Passerelle, a pedestrian bridge uniting both sides of the river.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Steve Zimmermann, President & CEO of CMP Advanced Mechanical Solutions, his wife Janet Hylland, Éric Allard, Mayor of Châteauguay and members of the city council.

That evening, the city hosted an illumination ceremony where Edward Zimmermann, representing CMP’s next generation of leadership, spoke about CMP’s 50+ years in Châteauguay. He described the company as a “bridge between industry and community,” reinforcing its commitment to initiatives that create lasting value for local residents.

With its scenic views and welcoming design, The Passerelle is already becoming a favorite destination for walkers, cyclists, and families. Along with projects like CMP 350e Parc, it reflects CMP’s legacy of growth, dedication, and investment in Châteauguay’s future.
