CMP Celebrates 20 Years in Binghamton, NY

Twenty years ago, CMP established its presence in Binghamton, New York. This September, we had the opportunity to celebrate that history and reflect on just how far the operation has come.

CMP New York’s 20th Anniversary Celebration recognized the growth, manufacturing excellence and, most importantly, the people who have helped build the operation into what it is today.

Since opening its doors in Binghamton in 2006, CMP New York has continued to grow and evolve. What began as an expansion of CMP’s manufacturing footprint has become an important part of our North American operations, with the Binghamton team taking on increasingly complex programs and expanding its capabilities along the way.

The facility, technology and capabilities have changed significantly over the years, but the foundation behind our success has remained the same: our people.

The celebration gave employees, their families and members of the community an opportunity to tour the facility, connect with one another and recognize everything that has been accomplished since CMP first arrived in Binghamton.

We were honoured to welcome New York State Senator Lea Webb, Deputy Mayor Ben Staebler, representatives from Empire State Development and others who joined us for the occasion.

One of the most memorable moments of the day came when Deputy Mayor Ben Staebler presented CMP with an official proclamation from Mayor Jared Kraham recognizing September 17th as “CMP Day” in the City of Binghamton. The recognition was a meaningful way to commemorate CMP’s longstanding presence in the city and the relationship we have built with the Binghamton community.

Beyond the tours and official remarks, the day was a chance to celebrate together. Employees and guests enjoyed lunch, activities, prizes and time with colleagues and family outside of the day-to-day operation.

CMP’s growth in New York would not have been possible without the employees who have contributed their knowledge, skill and dedication over the years, along with the families and community that have supported our team throughout the journey.

As we look ahead, the Binghamton operation will continue to play an important role in CMP’s future as we invest in our people, technology and capabilities and embrace new opportunities for growth.
