Chateauguay,Quebec – Earlier this year, CMP Advanced Mechanical Solutions
introduced a new management model and philosophy. The role of General
Manager (“GM”) was established to improve the strategic management and
continuous improvement of each facility.
The new
structure emphasizes a stronger focus on the strategic needs of
customers and builds the foundation for driving growth. The GMs not
only have to meet the day-to-day demand of their customers but exercise
their business savvy to understand and fulfill customers’ medium to
long term objectives - objectives that go beyond just manufacturing
products for customers but also maximizing CMP’s value-added services.
Accountability for the operational performance and
financial well-being of the facility is also amongst the top priorities
of each GM. Possessing the manufacturing know-how will allow the GMs
to effectively and efficiently manage operations for greater quality,
on-time delivery and productivity while also cultivating an environment
for continued success. With strong leadership and communication
skills, the GMs will motivate and provide strategic direction to their
talented, diversely skilled team of people in order to achieve CMP’s
corporate objectives.
With a GM in place, CMP’s
facilities in Quebec, New York and North Carolina can successfully
function independently from each other as well as effectively
collaborate for customers that are serviced by more than one facility.
Multi-facility customers are just one aspect of CMP’s growth and it is
important to provide them with consistent, cohesive services.
The GM model structure strengthens current operations but also fosters CMP’s objectives for further growth and expansion. |
